Just an ordinary day around the Falcon home...

Caden ate his first solid food today -- rice cereal -- and loved it! He was able to swallow and ate everything in his bowl. It took Mia and Noah a few weeks to master the art of eating solid foods, so Mom was quite surprised. (Sorry about the girlie bib, Cay... it was the first one Mom grabbed and happened to be one of Mia's old bibs.)

Mom and Mia went shopping at Old Navy and came home with a few new items... notice Mia's new boots, which she just 'had' to have for school... and her knit cap, which she decided to try out on Noah's head (Noah happily obliged).

Yo... what up?

The cowgirl and the homie.

Caden was helping Mama cook dinner tonight. He likes being carried around in his Baby Bjorn carrier.

It's A Scorcher, Jerry! Summer has arrived.

With August has come the scorching summer heat that we Georgians try to forget about the rest of the year. The Falcon family has been lying low, enjoying quality time together, playing in the new playroom addition, and entertaining company. Caden Matthew continues to grow quickly, and now has 2 teeth on the bottom, a bit more hair, and he can flip over easily from his back to his tummy. He is always in kicking motion, trying to get someplace. We think he's going to be our early walker!

Mia starts dance camp today. She will be learning tap and ballet and is very excited about her class. Soon preschool will start and she will be learning how to play soccer in a park recreation league.

Noah is walking and running, and getting into everything. He is a sweet boy and a charmer with that big grin. Every so often, I will see him take a swipe at Mia's head or yank on her hair. But then I will catch Mia casually 'push' Noah down as she walks by him, so I guess all is fair in love and war. This brother and sister really do love each other and stop to kiss and hug often throughout the day. They play for hours together, inside and outside of the house, and they both shower Caden with affection and kisses. We are one blessed family to have these great kids!

Here are some photo highlights from the past few weeks:

Noah Graham
Noah took his first independent steps on July 6, 2007 at age 18 months! To make up for lost time, he started walking, running and talking all at once.

Noah likes to wear sister Mia's play jewelry. Caden looks on in dismay.

After bathtime fun.

Mia Grace

Mia began ballet and tap dance class today. She loved her class.

We have had some special friends visit with us over the course of the summer. Here are just a few photos:
