A Glimpse Into The Future

Mia wanted to wear curlers to bed so that she could have curly hair in the morning. It was the first time she's ever used curlers, and when her Daddy saw her, he said it almost broke his heart! A little foreshadowing of the teen years. :)

Noah decided to try on Mia's reindeer ears.

Piedmont Park

We took the kids to Piedmont Park in Atlanta and met up with my sister Giselle and her husband Greg. It was a beautiful day and fun to be in the city; the kids had a ball. Of course, Giselle and Greg, like the good aunt and uncle that they are, played with the kids and pushed them on the swings. The park has some architecturally interesting spots so we got some cool photos.

After our park fun, we went out for a very yummy lunch in the city. A lovely family day!

Busy Weekend

A little shopping at Target.

Caden tries a lemon for the first time. "Pucker up!"

Our friends Tammy and David came over for dinner and a movie night...except that we had so much fun talking and laughing, we never got to the movie! Maybe next time.

My college friend, Carolyn, came to town from DC. We met up for breakfast at The Flying Biscuit in Buckhead. Yum! It was so much fun to catch up.

My beautiful baby, 18 months old.

Loose Teeth and Preschool Fun

Mia called her friend Collin to tell him that she has her first loose tooth. Very exciting for a 5 year old!

----------------------------------------------
Noah's teacher sent us several pictures of his class. The kids are learning about the color yellow, so the children were asked to wear yellow to school today.

Looks like fun to me! Don't you want to go to preschool too? :)

Our Week So Far...

Mia attended a Build-A-Bear birthday party this weekend - she had a blast!

Noah helps Mommy make chocolate chip cookies.

Caden had his 18 month well check-up today. The pediatrician says he is growing perfectly - he's in the 95th percentile for height! Tall boy. :) He's in the 75th percentile for weight, so he's a very healthy little boy. Caden got 3 shots today and didn't even cry! He's a tough cookie. He wasn't thrilled about the shots but he did very well during his entire exam. It must have worn him out, however, as he conked out in the car on the way home.

Playdate At The Park

My friend Tammy and I met up at the park this past week so the kids could play together. The weather was gorgeous and the kids had a great time!

Buddies Noah and Megan have so much fun together. It's fun to watch them interact in all the same ways.

Whee!

Back at the house and ready for some lunch!

To Mom and Dad

Happy 44th Anniversary!! Wow. Glad you two got together all those years ago in high school or I wouldn't be here to write about it (HA!) and you wouldn't have all of those beautiful grandchildren!
We love you lots, XOXO

First Day of Preschool

Noah started preschool today and he was SO excited! He took his 'pack-pack' and eagerly ran to the Thomas the Train table in his classroom. He is still going two mornings a week, but he will have a lot more structure this year, and he is excited to learn and do some new things. We are blessed to have a wonderful preschool with loving teachers and we feel like we are part of a larger family. He had a great first day of school!

And in addition to starting preschool, Noah is also starting to potty train (yippee!) Here he shows off his new 'big boy undies'. (I have to remind myself NOT to call them 'panties'!!)

Here are a couple of pics of Miss Mia after she got home from school today. She has settled into her routine and is not as tired this week, and seems to be enjoying school more.
