Fun with Family

Here are some highlights from our trip to Connecticut.... it's always so good to be home!

Mia snacking on the airplane.

Mia made sure to buckle her doggie in the rental car. Safety first!

It's tradition - our first stop was lunch at Paul's, a landmark in my hometown and a place that truly reminds me of my childhood. They serve the best burgers and hot dogs anywhere!

Mia hangs out at the picnic table outside of Paul's (same as I did when I was her age.)

We arrive at Cousin Gracie's house. Grace used to babysit for me when I was Mia's age!

Mia snuggling with cousins David and Cocoa Bean (or, "Coco Loco" as Mia nicknamed her!)

Summer flowers.

David and Grace cooked up some awesome meals during our visit. There was a lot of delicious food from the grill, enough to feed an army (though we made a pretty good dent in all of it!)

Cousin Alison (she was a flower girl in our wedding! Look at her all grown up and so pretty.)

Cousins Suzanne, Peter, and Randy (Alison's husband) joined us for the barbecue.

Mia, the queen of silly faces. She later got everyone to join her in making silly faces. What these people will do for their little 5 year old cousin from Georgia!

Mia gets a new Yankees baseball cap, a gift from cousin David! (I personally think he couldn't stand the thought of a non-Yankees fan in his house... LOL.)

Enjoying a yummy, fresh seafood dinner at Lenny and Joe's restaurant near Hammonasett Beach. That hot lobster roll is divine!

Visiting my childhood friend, Kat, and family - husband Dave, daughters Hallie and Avery. Always such fun to see them (even on a sweltering hot day)!

Avery and Mia.

While we were there, the neighborhood ice cream truck came by, so of course we HAD to have some ice cream!

It's not a trip home without a visit to the rocky, shell-filled beach.

Looking for seashells and other treasures.

Downtown Milford, River Street.

The Duck Pond.

Mia bonds with Mocha Bella.

Bye everyone, hope to see you again soon!
